Good news for young Team Arctic Racers:

There are two new classes being implemented in snocross racing that will feature the Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500.

8-10 Transition 500 Limited class – This snocross class is for the Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500 utilizing a 50 percent throttle limit and ECU rev-limit restrictions. Race circuits have the option to allow these restricted machines to drop down and race with the current 300-class machines, scoring them together or separately for the point’s championship.

This will be determined once the affiliate is assured the new sled won’t dominate the successful class for all affiliates now. The 300 will have the option to bump up and run with the 500’s in the 500 Limited class as well.

The second class is a Junior Novice 10-13 500 Liquid Limited class. This is an all-new class with the Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500 as the only designated model. Each machine must utilize a 50 percent throttle restriction.

Again, each circuit has the option to allow these restricted 500s to drop down and race with the 600cc fan cooled sleds and score them either together and or separately. They also can allow the fan-cooled sleds to jump up and race in the 500 Liquid Limited class.

Final class rules and information will be posted on the Arctic Cat Racing web site as well as in the new ISR rules book later this summer.

Please contact your race circuit for more details about the new classes, and contact the Arctic Cat Race Department for more information about the Sno Pro 500, the necessary modifications and the class requirements.

In light of the new information the Arctic Cat Race Dept. will continue to accept race applications for the Sno Pro 500 until June 15, 2011. The 2012 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500 is also available at many Arctic Cat dealerships, please stop in and check them out.
