In 1979, Dwight and Stuart Christian purchased their first truck, a 1973 International, and some hopper bottom trailers to haul grain. Thus began the trucking division of TDS. In 1980, they purchased two additional trucks along with a few MC330/331 tanker trailers and began hauling hazardous materials. The next purchases that were made, were more trucks, a hand full of van and reefer trailers which allowed TDS to haul year round across the US. The trucking division became incorporated in 1982 and became TDS Trucking, Inc., which specializes in Anhydrous and Propane.
