It’s Go Time For Carlson Motorsports

The new model race sleds are just beginning to ship to all points throughout the snocross world but at the Sportech race shop in Elk River, Minnesota, the wrenches are already flying. The Carlson Motorsports team, lead by mechanics Bob “Hoss” Riege and Levi Ensrud, is quickly adapting to their new Polaris mounts. We stopped by to say hello last week while parts were being ordered and supply bins were being filled. The change is nothing new for Ensrud, who proudly noted that at only 30 years of age, he is one of the few mechanics on the national trail who has worked with three of the four manufacturers at the professional level.

The excitement in the shop was evident around every corner. Team Owner Chris Carlson said that while they have always had great relationships with the manufacturers they’ve worked with, nothing compares to the technical support they’ve been getting from Polaris. When you add to the mix a new sponsor in Muscle Milk, the fact that Sportech, as a business, is up nearly 80% this season and the crew will be hosting an AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series event at their ERX motorsports park, you get the picture that life is good and hopes are high for the team.
