Punishing track proves mettle of FOX athletes as Ross Martin, Tucker Hibbert, David Joanis, and Kody Kamms stand tall in Michigan.
Brainerd, MN December 12, 2011 – The domination of FOX athletes on the International Series of Champions (ISOC) National Snocross tour continued this past weekend in Bessemer, Michigan. FOX riders stood tall at the close of both rounds of competition, taking the top box in all four pro classes, and four out of five of the top spots in Sunday’s Pro-Open main event.
Unlike the opening round of national snocross competition in Duluth, Minnesota, where warm temps and soft snow greeted racers, the weather was much colder and the track was firm and icy as a result.
Featuring a pair of nasty downhill sections, the cream rose to the top both days as FOX racers Ross Martin and Robbie Malinoski went one-two in Saturday’s Pro-Open action, while fellow FOX rider David Joanis snagged the top spot in Pro-Lite. The results improved on Sunday with FOX racers taking five of the top six positions in Pro-Open including a podium sweep with Tucker Hibbert leading the charge over Martin and Malinoski. In Pro-Lite, it was more FOX domination with Kody Kamms taking the win.
“The track this week was extremely technical,” said Rick Strobel, Snowmobile Race Manager at FOX. “Throughout the weekend, we stuck to our program of watching and listening to our riders and making the necessary suspension adjustments to keep their sleds performing their best.”
The ISOC National Snocross Series takes a break for the holiday season before returning for rounds 5 and 6, January 6-8, 2012 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
