Hill City, MN (January 15, 2015) Every year, Canterbury is the race that will turn a rider’s season either positive or negative. For two riders that call Quadna Mountain Park home for the winter, their season took a positive turn.
Kyle Pallin and Maxime Taillefer are regular members of the crew that practices at Quadna Mountain Park. Week after week throughout the winter season, Team Lavallee among many other teams pound out laps working toward that podium finish. With the elevation changes and huge jumps, Quadna is the perfect place to train. Not only does Quadna feature a state of the art track, the facilities are also unique. For the winter season, teams have the option of renting out private shop spaces and condos to live right on site. It is an ideal place to train hard, work hard, and experience success.
“Practicing at QMP has allowed me to work on my riding skills and improve. The track there is always fun which makes riding even better!” said Kyle Pallin.
It was no question on Saturday night at Canterbury Park that Pallin would be the undisputed winner in the Pro Open class. After getting the early holeshot, Pallin continued to increase his lead lap after lap. His focus and drive to get the win played through the entire race and when all was said and done, it was Kyle on top of the box.
Coming in as a top qualifier in the final race, Taillefer muscled his way through to a third place in the Pro Lite class. This is Taillefer’s first Pro Lite podium and we hope to see many more from him in the future.
Be sure to join the crew at Quadna Mountain Park for practice and ISOC MN Regional racing all season long. The next regional is January 24-25.
