Eagle, ID – March 31, 2015 – Ever since joining the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour full-time in 2010-11 Leighton Motorsports has been on a course to establish ourselves as one of the elite teams in the ISOC pit area.
We started this journey with a multi-rider team that was competitive in the Sport, Women’s and Semi-Pro classes. In 2013-14 we focused on building the very best Polaris Pro-Lite squad with three riders who were at the front of the field every weekend, producing a national champion in Corin Todd.
It is now time to take our program to the next level as we focus on the premier, Pro Open class with Trevor Leighton stepping up to join Corin Todd as we continue to maintain the level of excellence we have established over the past five years.
In 2014-15 we showed that the team was ready to take on the best in the world, with Corin winning heat races, running in the top five and ending the year as the highest finishing rookie in the Pro Open class. Trevor has been determined to race among these elite riders and showed last year that he is ready to graduate from Pro Lite after leading the championship for much of the season, despite racing with a serious shoulder injury.
With a year under his belt Corin is even more determined to learn from his rookie season and come back smarter and faster than ever. Trevor is undergoing surgery this week, which will put his training well ahead of last summer when he suffered the initial injury, and is looking forward to those long days on the road bike and the chance to prove he belongs with this awesome group of talented riders.
