Finley, ND (December 15, 2024) – The 2025 ISOC national snocross season opened in Ironwood, Michigan with the traditional and unique AMSOIL Dominator. The Friday night event featured the top 16 Pro and Pro Lite racers going head-to-head for three laps with the last man standing collecting $10,000.
Oskar Norum advanced through the first two heats into the semi-finals where he was knocked out in the single elimination format, finishing fourth overall.
Day two saw the team lineup for the first official round of full competition. Evan Christian finished third in his opening round race and then backed it up with a win in round two to secure the top qualifier spot in the Pro Lite main event.
Evan was quick of the line but was caught up in a first turn crash that caused him to resume action at the back of the 15 rider field. Christian put his head down and made a strong charge on a track that had limited passing zones and was able to race back to eighth place overall.
The first official Pro class race of the season had the 15 class entries racing in a Triple Crown format with three heats determining the overall outcome for the night.
Oskar Norum lined up in the middle of the front row but was squeezed as the riders rounded the first turn. Norum completed lap one in 11th place but was able to race forward throughout the 19 laps to finish eighth.
Norum had a similar start in round two fighting his way up to ninth before a crash sent him to the back of the field. Oskar showed good speed in working his way from 13th back up to ninth at the finish.
In round three Oskar quickly moved from 10th on the opening lap up to fifth place and looked to have a shot at really improving his combined standing for the night. Unfortunately, another mid-race crash set him back before he was able to climb to seventh place at the checkers, securing ninth place overall.
The team will now have a break over the holidays as we regroup for rounds 2 & 3 on January 10-11 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
