Unseasonably Warm Weather Forces Cancellation of Deadwood Snocross National
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Due to unseasonably warm weather and the inability to make snow in time, the Deadwood Snocross National round of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross presented by Brunt Workwear must be cancelled. The event was originally scheduled the weekend for January 23-24.
ISOC’s president Carl Schubitzke stated “It is very unfortunate we are unable to put the event on in Deadwood as it is staple of our national tour. Everyone always looks forward to the trip out west. It is not often we don’t get snow and the weather just isn’t in our favor to make snow. We want the event to be a success and without snow it is just not possible”.
The Bull Ring in Deadwood remains one of the most iconic and beloved venues on the tour. AMSOIL Championship Snocross is committed to returning to the historic Days of ’76 rodeo grounds in 2027.
All tickets purchased for the Deadwood National will be automatically reimbursed to the account they were purchased on within the next week. More details about the make-up event to follow.
