Sweeps From Lebel, Hemmer as Cole Gets Back on Top in Valcourt Finale
Valcourt, Quebec ~ Round eight of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross presented by Brunt Workwear marks the true midpoint of the season, a stage where championship contenders begin to sharpen their edge and momentum becomes as critical as outright speed. Saturday’s racing at the Grand Prix de Valcourt delivered exactly the kind of intensity expected from one of the sport’s most storied venues. The famed Quebec circuit — home to generations of snowmobile racing tradition and set in the backyard of Ski-Doo — once again showcased why Valcourt remains a bucket-list stop, blending history, national pride, and world-class competition.
The track proved fast, technical, and raceable on Saturday, producing tight battles and dramatic lead changes before hometown hero Jordan Lebel captured the marquee AMSOIL Pro victory. Now the question shifts to Sunday: can Lebel complete the weekend sweep in front of an energized home crowd? Behind him, a brewing Pro Lite championship fight continues to intensify, while in Pro AM Women, a rookie standout keeps turning heads and reshaping expectations. With the second half of the season looming, Sunday’s action carried growing significance in the title chase.

Lebel Holds of Dillon, Completes Valcourt Sweep
Jordan Lebel and Crayden Dillon were two of the most successful Pro Lite champions of the past half decade, and both are proving that that success translates at the sport’s highest level.
Lebel entered Sunday having claimed three wins in the previous four rounds, establishing himself at the top of a deep AMSOIL Pro field. Dillon, meanwhile, has rebounded from early-season adversity to build momentum, stringing together four straight podium finishes — including a Round 5 victory — to signal his arrival as a consistent front-runner. Saturday in Valcourt, the duo locked down the top two podium positions, with Lebel delivering a hometown victory and Dillon charging through the field for second.
Sunday’s final quickly evolved into another showcase for the pair. Dillon powered through the opening turns with the early lead, but Lebel capitalized on an opening on lap two to seize control and dictate the pace from the front. Under steady pressure from the rookie, Lebel remained composed and precise, holding firm to secure his third consecutive victory and complete the weekend sweep.
“It’s just awesome to have a race here, back home in Quebec,” said Lebel. “Just having all of these fans here supporting me is unreal. It was a great day, great weekend overall.”
Dillon never allowed the gap to grow, closing in multiple times before crossing the line in second to secure his fifth straight podium finish. Behind them, Theo Poirier engaged in an early battle with defending champion Emil Harr before securing the final podium position, marking his first trip to the podium this season.

Cole Returns to Form with Dominant Wire-to-Wire Win
For the past month, Cameron Cole has carried the red plate as points leader, but his early-season surge had begun to feel less secure as challengers closed the gap. Valcourt helped steady the momentum. After a determined runner-up finish on Saturday, Cole returned Sunday with authority, launching cleanly off the start and executing a flawless race from the front. Smooth through traffic and precise through the rhythm sections, he led every lap to secure his class-leading fourth win of the season and reassert control of the championship narrative.
“We had some trouble in qualifying today, but we were able to just push through that,” said Cole. “I just kept my head clear going into that final and got the early race lead with the hole shot. Man, that sled was just ripping, and I just really had fun today.”
Saturday winner Drew Freeland, who captured his first victory in a year in Round 7, targeted Cole from the drop of the green flag but couldn’t summon the late-race surge that carried him to victory the day before. He settled into a strong second-place finish to maintain pressure in the title fight. Behind them,
Tanner Johnson delivered arguably the ride of the weekend — and certainly his best performance of the season. Starting 12th, Johnson methodically worked through the field, inserted himself into podium contention late, and executed a decisive pass on Nathan Mailloux with two laps remaining to secure his first podium finish of the year.

Hemmer Capitalizes on Chaos for Weekend Sweep
For the second straight Bikeman Performance Pro AM Women’s final, Ava McCurdy rocketed off the line to secure the holeshot and controlled the opening laps as a tight four-rider pack formed behind her. Victoria Dillon, Saga Forsell, and points leader Avery Hemmer applied immediate pressure, creating a bar-to-bar battle through the first lap and a half. Dillon surged into the lead on lap two, but contact between Dillon and McCurdy in the following section sent both riders to the ground — McCurdy first losing control of her sled, with Dillon unable to recover moments later.
The incident opened the door for Hemmer, who seized the lead and never looked back. In clean air, Hemmer delivered another commanding performance to secure her sixth consecutive victory and complete the weekend sweep.
“Honestly I didn’t get the best start,” said Hemmer. “I was able to make some passes and miss the carnage and get the win.”
Behind Hemmer, Saga Forsell — who has hovered near the podium all season — broke through with a strong, composed ride to finish second. Inanna Hauger rebounded from a difficult qualifying session and a 12th-place start in the final, charging through the field to claim third and extend her podium streak to seven straight finals.
