Elk River, Minnesota (May 14, 2015) – The dream is about to become reality this weekend as rising professional snocross racing star Andrew Carlson of Carlson Motorsports will get behind the wheel and hit the dirt for the Rumble on the River in St. Louis, MO, (May 16/17). Racing in the two-wheel drive Pro-Light division, it will be Andrew’s first race of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) 2015 series as he looks to break into the world of short track off-road truck racing.

    Obviously no stranger to competition, Andrew has years of experience racing in the national snocross ranks and has compiled an abundance of success along the way. Andrew has amassed a trophy case of podium finishes in national Pro-Lite snocross competition, narrowly missing the year-end championship and finishing second in back to back seasons.

    Now Andrew and the Carlson Motorsports team turn their attention to dirt and the high horsepower, high speed and high thrills of TORC truck racing. Preparation for this weekend’s event in St. Louis has been in the works for the better part of a year – learning as much as they could; compiling the equipment necessary to compete; gaining the support of valuable sponsors; and surrounding themselves with talented individuals such as new crew chief Keith Stamper who has a deep background in TORC racing.

    Many of Carlson Motorsport’s top sponsors from the snocross season were eager to join the team including AMSOIL, Best Western, Sportech, FXR Racing and FOX. New to the fold for the TORC season is Atturo Tires, a company dedicated to SUV, crossover and light truck tires. Atturo will play a key roll for the team as a durable, high-performance, DOT type tire is vital to success in closed course off-road truck racing – especially in the rear-wheel drive Pro-Lite TORC class.

    The TORC series features races across the United States including Chicago, Charlotte, St. Louis, Sturgis and the highly touted crown jewel of the series in Crandon, Wisconsin. Each stop features two complete rounds of racing and is live broadcast at www.torcseries.com and delayed broadcast on Fox Sports.
