Clear Lake, MN (March 27, 2023) – Round 13 of the national snocross tour saw an uncharacteristic performance by Elias Ishoel in which he was off his sled and off the track on several occasions in the Pro class Triple Crown. While competitive in each of the three races, the mistakes resulted in 6-4-5 finishes for fifth overall.
Ishoel bounced back on Saturday going 2-3-3 in the triple crown to capture the final spot on the podium and leave Michigan with a 36 points lead in the Championship as the series heads into the final weekend of competition.
Marcus Ogemar raced his way up to a fifth place finish in Friday’s Pro Lite main event. On Saturday, Marcus won a heat race and bettered his main event finish with a fourth. And, although he missed out on a podium finish, Ogemar retained the third overall spot in the class with a mathematical chance of being able to catch second place before the end of the season.
Emeric Legendre qualified for Friday’s Pro Lite final by way of the LCQ and was able to race from a back row starting spot to 10th place.
Legendre transferred directly into the main event on Saturday where he would finish 11th.
Crayden Dillon had a perfect weekend in the Sport division, winning all four of his qualifying rounds and both main events. Dillon has all but locked up the class Championship with an 83 point lead heading into the final weekend and only needs score an additional 8 points to make it official.
The season will conclude with a Saturday/Sunday schedule in Dubuque, Iowa on April 1-2. After three seasons at the Dubuque Country Fairgrounds, the event is moving back to the Sundown Mountain Ski Resort.
