For Immediate Release
Finley, ND (February 20, 2024) – The KC Motorsports team wrapped up an extended East coast swing with continued success in Salamanca, New York.
Evan Christian opened the weekend going 3-1 in his Pro Lite qualifying rounds. Christian is among the class leaders in heat race wins this season, an important statistic when you factor in heat race points counting towards the season championship.
In the main event, Evan made another podium appearance, finishing third and gaining ground on the current point leader who did not finish on the podium for the first time this season.
On Saturday, Evan struggled with starts but put in determined rides throughout the day to move forward. 2-4 results in his heat races placed him on the front row for the final where he finished sixth.
Oskar Norum had a strong day in Friday’s Pro triple crown going 7-5-5 for fifth overall. The competition in the Pro class is as tight as it has ever been from first to tenth and Norum’s consistency has been a key factor in his recent top five finishes.
On Saturday, Oskar also had some issues with starts in the knee deep and sugary snow and had to race from deep in the field in each of his triple crown races. Norum finished 11th overall on night two after posting results of 9-10-11.
The series will have an open weekend coming up before returning to action in the Midwest with just four weekends remaining to wrap up the season. Up next will be the fairgrounds in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on March 1-2. Warm weather may have an impact on that event but we will keep you posted over the next 10 days should any changes to dates or location take place.
