In a bit of a shocker from the off season, Jeff Goodwin is out as the race team manager for Ski-Doo. There have been conflicting reports as to what led to the departure, however, when contacted for an official announcement on the race program, BRP responded “Jeff Goodwin has decided to pursue career opportunities outside of BRP. Consequently in the interim, Marcel Imbeault will be assuming his responsibilities. Please direct any inquiries related to the Ski-Doo race team directly to Marcel.”
Goodwin had established an ambitious rider development program in his short term at the helm and along with brother Greg Goodwin, appeared to be making strides with a number of promising young racers. It was no secret that Goodwin and pro standout Tim Tremblay did not always see eye to eye. Tremblay remains under contract with Ski-Doo and will again be a serious championship threat.
