Team Press: Mother Nature brought the heat but Ross Martin brought the FIRE!

Kimster Team Press

The Season Finale in Lake Geneva this last weekend saw temperatures of near eighty degrees but it paled in comparison to the fire in the belly of Martin. Arriving in Geneva there was a very slim chance that Ross was able to capture the Points Championship but slim is all he needed to bring it. We saw Ross completely dominate the entire field Saturday. After winning both heat races, he was the number 1 qualifier for the final. Martin blasted from line leaving any competition in the dust/snow. He was by far the fastest thing on skis winning the Pro Final with ease!

Sunday looked to be a (heat peat) repeat with Ross winning both of his heats again, qualifying number 1 for the Final. Martin blew from the line setting a blazing pace when a season long bit of bad luck came back to haunt him. He came off his sled on the huge downhill, setting him back to 6th position. It just made Ross more determined, if that was possible and he went balls to the walls – passing like a wild man ultimately finishing 2nd. One of his top competitors said “When Ross passed me it was like we were standing still!”

“The Final on Sunday was one of the most exciting races I have seen in 15 years! Clearly, without dispute Ross was the fastest racer on the track this weekend and despite this years plague of unusual misfortunes it was one great year! A very special THANK YOU to all our phenomenal sponsors. They are the reason we are here. And kudos to the incredibly hard working group from ISOC Racing who with no help from mother nature allowed us to race this weekend. And I have to thank my crew who worked so incredibly hard non-stop since October. Great Job – Jr, Tony, Duane, Domer, Dave and my wife Colleen. ” said a grateful Scott Judnick, Judnick Motorsports Team Owner. “This year we saw record attendance, raced in awesome venues and came sooo close to achieving our ultimate goal of the Points Championship we’re already counting down the days to next season. There is no question when Ross races like he did in Geneva, next season he will be extremely tough to catch.”

First year Pro Mike Bauer had an impressive start to the season until his wrist break. But despite having to sit out several races (not by his choice) he finished 15th in the Year-End Pro Points Race.

Rookie teammate James Johnstad finished 5th in the Year-End Pro Lite Points Race. He did a great job getting on the podium in Duluth and taking many top tens this season. James is young, hungry and is sure to be a contender next season.

A HUGE THANK YOU to our fans who continue to pack the venues.
You make it all worth while!
