Minneapolis (Nov. 11, 2013) – Officials with International Series of Champions (ISOC), the producers and promoters of AMSOIL Championship Snocross, powered by Ram, are pleased to announce that Michigan’s famed Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort had been added to the 2013-’14 ACS schedule, replacing the Traverse City (Mich.) round previously scheduled for Feb. 21-22.

Voted as the Midwest’s “Favorite Casino” and “Best Overall Gaming Resort” (Midwest Gaming & Travel), the massive Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort sits right in the heart of Michigan’s – Mt. Pleasant. Owned and operated by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, Soaring Eagle – known throughout the region for its superior live event promotion and production capabilities – was a perfect fit to host an AMSOIL Championship Snocross event when the opportunity arose.

“We’re thrilled about our new partnership with ISOC and I’m confident that our mid-Michigan community will be equally thrilled to have this extreme sporting event added to our entertainment lineup,” said Raul A. Venegas, Director of Marketing & Entertainment at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. “We get an overwhelming response from the entertainment seekers with families during our outdoor summer concert series and monster truck show; we find this opportunity to be an extension of that outdoor entertainment. We are looking forward to seeing our crowd bundled up while enjoying some awesome snocross racing right here in our own backyard.”

The gateway to Michigan’s snowmobile country, Mt. Pleasant and Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort will enjoy a strategic geographical advantage over other regions of the state. Roughly an hour drive from a number of Michigan’s larger metropolitan areas (Grand Rapids, Lansing and the Tri-City area of Bay City, Saginaw and Flint), Soaring Eagle is situated to where snowmobilers can stay at the resort, ride any number of trail systems during the day, then return in the early evening to watch AMSOIL Championship Snocross before returning to the casino and resort for some gaming and family fun.

“We can’t begin to explain how well this has worked out, AMSOIL Championship Snocross partnering with Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort,” said ISOC President and Race Director Carl Schubitzke. “We definitely view Soaring Eagle as a long term partner and a venue that has all the makings to be a premier event on the series.

“It is an amazing place and one that everyone within the snowmobile industry will be ecstatic about.”

In addition to the neighboring cities, the expansive/entire Metro Detroit market is only a couple-hour-drive from Mt. Pleasant, giving the Soaring Eagle Casino & Hotel AMSOIL Championship Snocross round an even greater opportunity for success at the turnstiles.

And showcasing an extremely large footprint that’s directly outside the massive Soaring Eagle Resort & Casino’s doors, the ACS track has the potential for even more options for the ISOC track building crew, certainly making for an incredible, action-packed weekend of family fun for those who enjoy getting outdoors in Michigan’s ‘Winter Wonderland.’
