Shakopee, Minn. (Feb. 23, 2015) – While Hentges Racing’s Kody Kamm watched trackside again at the Route 66 Raceway National in Chicago, Ill., due to a lower body strain, teammate Justin Broberg rode his Pirtek / FXR Racing / Polaris through a trying weekend and moves up one position in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Pro Open point standings.

“This was a tough weekend for the whole team. We faced many challenges with the sled, I had a few crashes, and we had to overcome a lot to even make it into the finals. This track was fast, there was a lot going on and I am a little beat up. We are ready to make the necessary changes and move forward to end the season a lot better,” said Broberg.

Hentges Racing is monitoring Kamm for a possible return to the circuit in full strength at the next round.

“I didn’t race again this weekend because I am not yet healed. I am resting a small lower body strain and want to leave this season totally healthy so I can train hard in the off-season and come back stronger. It is tough watching. I am definitely ready to come back,” said Kamm.

On Friday, after an off in the first round of qualifying followed by a stronger finish in round two, Broberg wins the last chance qualifier (LCQ) and transfers into the final as 11th qualifier. A mid-race wreck while fighting through wind and snow dust would take him out of the final.

On Saturday, Broberg fought through mechanical issues in qualifying and again transferred into the main event as 13th qualifier through the LCQ. Another mechanical issue would end the race sooner than expected after several strong laps into the race and following a great mid-pack start.

Even through the diversity Broberg faced this past weekend he has moved up another position, from eight to seventh, in the Pro Open point standings. Five rounds remain in the series with the Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale being a three round event.
