June is here…summer is here…and BeaterCross™ is back at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota for another summer of mayhem on dirt. The first race of the season is tonight…and it should be a big one, with double points on the line. Plus it’s kids night, where everyone under the age of 12 is admitted free and will receive a special gift (while supplies last).
For those who have never been to ERX Motor Park for a BeaterCross™ race, here’s what to expect. Beater-X™ features compact cars, trucks, as well as classes for full-size vehicles competing side-by-side on a dirt track featuring rolling terrain, table top jumps, left and right turns, and plenty of good natured rubbing. If you think it sounds crazy…just wait until you see it in person.
Also on tap are feature classes for side-by-sides, ATVs and youth ATVs, making for a jammed packed night of racing and down and dirty family fun. New to the fold this year is a full-size V8 class, where big iron from the past will battle it out. The addition of the Youth Quad Sport ATV class will offer competitive racing for younger racers in a safe, non-intimidating environment.
ERX Motor Park is located just north of Elk River on the East side of Highway 169. Races start at 6:00pm and admission is just $10 for adults. Bring your entire family, your buddies, even your gal pal. Concessions are available on site and there’s plenty of spectator seating where you can take in the entire Beater-X™ track from a single vantage point (VIP suite rentals are also available). 3:00 Gates open for racers and crew
3:00 – 4:45 Tech Inspection and Check-In
5:00 – 5:15 Drivers meeting in chalet (mandatory)
5:15 – 5:45 Mandatory Hot Laps (2 maximum)
6:00 Final Track Prep – Racing Begins
Tickets just $10 for Adults, $5 for kids 6-12, 5 and under Free!
