Lake Nebagamon, Wisc. – February 1, 2016 – Ross Martin continued his return to full form by racing his way into the main event at the ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado, where he finished 10th.

It was a quick turnaround from the national tour event in South Dakota, but Martin was loose and optimistic coming into practice on Wednesday. On race day, there was a several hour delay between morning practice and the single elimination qualifying round. Although this was not ideal given Martin’s injury, he was able to qualify fourth in his heat race and advance to the final.

The 20-lap feature race did not go as well as hoped but Martin still found X Games to be a step forward. “I’m really excited for the second half of the season and to get back on top,” said Martin. Every week my ankle seems to be getting a little better so I’m hoping to be at 100% well before the end of the year.”

The national tour resumes this weekend just outside of Buffalo, New York for rounds 9 & 10 of the 17 race series.
