Team Jimmy John’s Carries Podium Power Into Route 66

Winnipeg, MB. – March 3, 2016 – Adam Renheim opened the weekend in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan racing to an impressive second place finish behind series point leader Tucker Hibbert. Renheim finished over six seconds ahead of fellow Ski-Doo racer Tim Tremblay, gaining valuable points on him as they battle in the championship.

On Saturday, Renheim moved from a mid-pack position on the starting into the sixth spot where he was challenging for fifth and perhaps had a shot at fourth. Unfortunately, Adam experienced a rare mechanical failure with just four laps to go and was scored 15 in the final.

Marica Renheim dominated her qualifying rounds as she has done all season going 1-1 in heat races and finishing second in an exciting main event. Marica tried to make a pass on the race leader with just two laps to go and when the two made contact, she suffered major damage to her right front suspension making the snowmobile almost impossible to ride. In a true show of determination, Renheim carried on jumping the tracks massive jumps with one ski flailing in the air as she held on to the second spot.

The team will carry this momentum into the weekend as we prepare to compete at the NHRA dragstrip at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. There are a total of five rounds of competition remaining for Adam and two for Marica as they continue to battle for top positions in their respective class championships,
