Narsa Wins At Grand Finale

Shakopee, MN (March 31, 2016) – Once a Playboy Club, the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, has hosted the final round on the national snocross schedule for over a decade and a half. Every March the double snowflake-shaped ski lodge that once played host to esteemed guests of Hugh Hefner fills with snocross fans and echoes with the sound of snowmobile engines as the hills overlooking the lodge get transformed into one of the most challenging snocross tracks in the world.

The Hentges Racing team entered the final round on the snocross schedule at Lake Geneva this past March 18-20 looking to cap off the 2015-2016 season on a high note. Lake Geneva typically features a long, grueling track with multiple uphill and downhill runs and is a favorite of riders on the circuit. It’s a track that favors setup and rider talent, and with Petter Narsa behind the bars the team certainly had both. Narsa made it count during Friday night’s racing, grabbing the holeshot and using it to get out front and take the first Pro Open win of his career.

“Getting my first win was such an awesome feeling, I couldn’t believe it when I crossed the finish line,” said Narsa. “On top of that, my family and my girlfriend were here from Sweden so that made it even better! The crew at Hentges Racing worked hard to make sure I had a fast sled this weekend, I owe them a lot of thanks.”

“What a great way to wrap up the season,” said Hentges Racing Team owner Nate Hentges. “Petter and the team worked really hard and it paid off with a win. We’ll be looking to bring this momentum into next season.”

Narsa came back on Saturday to finish 7th and just missed a second podium finish on the weekend Sunday when he finished 4th.

Hentges Racing Pro Open rider Kody Kamm scored four podium finishes in the first four finals of the season, including one win, but then got sidelined with an injury and was unable to return to competition. With Lake Geneva behind him, he’s looking forward to returning next season.

“It was a bummer getting hurt and having my season cut so short,” said Kamm.

“Right now I’m looking forward to a good summer and coming back next fall at Duluth 100-percent.”

With 2015-2016 wrapped up, Hentges Racing doesn’t have much time to rest as preparation is already underway for next season.

“We can’t thank our sponsors enough for supporting us this year,” said Hentges. “As we look forward to this fall we are hoping to bring back the same great family of supporters and win more races next season.”
