Mailloux Racing was back in Minnesota this weekend, January 6-7, for his second race of the season in ISOC at the Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, for the Pirtek Snocross National, 3rd round of the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross. The cold temperatures will have allowed the crew to make enough snow, and create a long and technical track.

Our Ski-Doo rider #880, Martin Mailloux, was in action on Friday for his first race of the weekend in the Pro AM+30 class. Martin went out for his two qualifying rounds on a hard and technical track, finishing 4th and 6th. In the evening final, he was 10th at the checkered flag. For the Saturday race, the conditions of the track change, what pleases our #880 rider. After a 6th and a 5th place in his qualifying rounds, Martin had a great race and ended up 9th in his second final in Pro AM+30.

Nathan Mailloux was looking forward for his return after he suffered a concussion in Duluth this November. Our Ski-Doo rider #111 is in action on the Saturday with races in the Transition 8-12 and the Junior 10-13 classes. Nathan had a 3rd and a 2nd place finish in his qualifying rounds in Transition 8-12. In the final, he had a great race, fighting hard with the 3rd place, but ended up just short of the podium with the 4th place. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan placed 8th and 5th in his two heats, meaning he will have to go through the LCQ. In this last chance qualifier, another rider had an incident following the start, and Nathan could not avoid him, hitting his sled quite hard. This incident relegates our #111 rider behind the pack, crossing the finish line in 8th place. This bad luck puts an end to his weekend, because Nathan wont make it to the Junior 10-13 final.
