MSE HISTORY: Mid-States Equipment got its start in 1960 when Jim Gummerson decided to leave Allis-Chalmers and venture on his own. Great advances were happening in manufacturing and he had the foresight to see the need for readily available hydraulic parts and components in the Midwest. Jim and his wife Milly formed Mid-States Equipment. With hard work, Mid-States quickly developed a reputation for great customer service and quality product lines. In 1986, Jim and Milly’s son James assumed ownership of the business. Under his leadership, the company has continued to grow and expand. In 2014, James’ son John joined the business. What started out as a business of 2 serving our community and neighbors, has now become a team of 20+ serving all of the greater Midwest. Mid-States has become known as “the Hydraulic People” in Wisconsin. After over 55 years of business, our reputation of quality and excellent service remains the #1 goal.
