Shakopee, MN (February 28, 2017) – Hentges Racing entered the Soaring Eagle Snocross National in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, fresh off a three-week break. Unseasonably warm temperatures and snow on Saturday made for messy racing, and getting out front was key to maintaining visibility on the track. The small track meant that, once again, starts were critical to getting out front.

Kody Kamm capitalized on a lightning fast holeshot Friday night to take the win the Pro Open class. It’s the second win of the season for Kamm and the second straight weekend he’s stood on the podium. Kamm came back Saturday and again got a great start and ran as high as second before fading to 4th place. Through it all, he was fighting a shoulder injury.

“I was really stressing the last couple days before the race because my shoulder was still in a lot of pain,” Kamm said. “Friday went great, I got the win, but Saturday my shoulder was very sore and I struggled with it the whole day. Happy to take 4th!”

Petter Narsa scored a Top 5 finish Friday night, taking 5th place in the Pro Open final. Narsa ran into bad luck Saturday night when he was taken out in a starting line crash and had spent the rest of the race riding from dead last to an 8th place finish.

“Friday I qualified 10th so I got the last gate pick, but I managed to get a Top 3 start,” Narsa said. “I lost a spot early then someone got me on the last lap so I ended up 5th. Saturday I got tipped over and had to try and ride through the pack from last place. I was happy with the sled and the crew worked hard, we’re looking forward to Iowa now.”

Kamm currently sits in second place in Pro Open points, just 30-points out of 1st place. Narsa sits in 5th place, just nine points behind 4th.
