Fertile, MN (February 19, 2018) – Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, New York, played host to Rounds 9-10 on the snocross schedule this past February 16-17. Riders competed on a tight, technical track that featured multiple lines and rewarded rider fitness and machine setup. Christian Brothers Racing riders scored five podiums including a win and three second place finishes.

Logan Christian (doc/AMG Peterbilt/Arctic Cat) qualified via the LCQ on Friday after a 9th and a 3rd in his heats.  On the tight track he was able to work his way up to 4th from the back row on the start, but went off the track late in the race and slipped to a 6th place finish.  On Saturday, Christian came out charging with a 1st and 2nd in his heats.  In the final, Christian jumped out near the front of the pack off the start running as high as 2nd place and finishing on the podium in 3rd place.

“Friday I made some mistakes that dropped me back in the pack,” said Christian. “Saturday we bounced back and had a really good night. It’s nice to have a comeback night right away, now we’re looking to build on that headed into Michigan.”

Jacob Yurk (Country Cat/TDS Equipment/Arctic Cat) was nearly perfect in heat racing Friday on his way to a 2nd place podium finish in the final. On Saturday, Yurk finished 2-3 in his heats and in the final was in a podium spot before miscalculating a corner.

“We were pretty consistent all weekend and had really good qualifiers,” said Yurk. “We got 2nd place Friday night and came back Saturday looking for more. I was running 3rd in the final and just made a little mistake doubling into a corner and ended up on my head! But we’re all happy and healthy and ready for Michigan!”

Anson Scheele (Country Cat/Speedwerx/Arctic Cat) set the pace in the Jr. 14-15 class, taking the win on Friday. He finished 2nd in Jr. 16-17, then scored another 2nd place finish on Saturday in the Sport Lite class.

Christian Brothers Racing gave away their fifth Troy Lee Designs Helmet. As the drawing winner, Braxton took home a Troy Lee Designs SE 4 Youth Factory Helmet. In addition to Troy Lee Helmets at every event, race fans also have the chance to enter to win an Arctic Cat ZR 200 snowmobile.
