Warroad, Minn. (March 2, 2014) – Christian Brothers Racing may have been competing 800-miles apart, but they were able to tally the same results – wins on two different race circuits on two completely different stages. It was an off-weekend for the snocross National circuit so Logan Christian and Dave Joanis split up – Joanis went home to Canada to race snocross in Timmins, Ontario, and Logan Christian joined CBR cross-country rider Zach Herfindahl at the USXC Warroad 100 in Warroad, Minnesota.

Zach Herfindahl – Riding with his left hand in a cast as a result of a broken thumb sustained last weekend at the USXC Park Rapids 106 didn’t seem to slow Zach Herfindahl down at the Warroad 100. The Pro 600 points leader won the 100-mile Pro 600 race and took second in the shorter Pro Open race. Herfindahl now sits 55-points clear of second place in Pro 600 and 29-points clear of second place in Pro Open. With one throwaway race that means Herfindahl has more or less clinched both Pro points championships on the USXC circuit.

Logan Christian – Competing in his first cross-country event in three years, DRIFT Racing/Troy Lee Designs/Arctic Cat rider logged some more valuable experience at the Warroad 100. He finished 10th in Pro 600 and was not able to finish the Pro Open race after getting tangled with another rider.

Dave Joanis – Royal Distributing/Arctic Cat rider Dave Joanis had a homecoming of sorts this weekend. He traveled back to Canada to race in Timmins, Ontario, on the circuit where he rose through the ranks, the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association. Joanis claimed both Pro Open wins, sweeping the weekend.

Evan Christian – Finley Motors/Arctic Cat racer Evan Christian competed at the ISOC Regional race held at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota. Since it was an off-weekend for the National circuit competition was strong and the field was deep with experienced riders. Christian scored two 3rd place podium finishes in Jr. Novice 10-13 Limited and a 2nd and 4th in Jr. Novice 10-13 Combined class.

Quotes
Zach Herfindahl – Racing with a broken thumb wasn’t too bad, turning was the most difficult part of it since it was hard to grip the handlebars. With the throwaway race it looks like I’ve won both points championships so I’m really happy about that! My team works so hard to give me a good sled to ride, Christian Brothers Racing is a huge part of my success.

Logan Christian – I forgot how gnarly cross-country racing can be, but it is a lot of fun. I got some more great experience at Warroad and I’m proud of my teammate Zach for winning and winning the points championships.

Dave Joanis – I was really excited to go back home and race the circuit I basically grew up on. It was fun seeing everyone and it was great to be able to race in front of my friends and family. I’m happy to have been able to put the Royal Distributing/Arctic Cat on top of the box!

Evan Christian – Racing this weekend went well; ended up with a 2nd, a couple 3rds, and a 4th place finish. Huge thanks to the family, Christian Brothers Racing, Drift Racing, Troy Lee Designs, Arctic Cat, Finley Motors, and Christian Brothers Ford!
