Longville, MN (February 3, 2015) – Historic Deadwood South Dakota was the host of Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2014/2015 ISOC Snocross Series. The races were held at Days of ‘76 Rodeo Grounds in the heart of downtown Deadwood. The track, which is the shortest track on the series, was a challenge. With less than desirable weather conditions and a tight, short track – the snow was constantly changing, making the holeshot a key component to claim a podium finish at the Deadwood Shootout.

After a tough-go at the Winter X Games, Team LaVallee was looking for redemption. The 2-Day National kicked off Friday night under the lights at Deadwood. Kyle Pallin held the best qualifying rounds for Team LaVallee and was able to make it into the front row for the Round 7 Final. Andy Lieders and Jake Scott made it into the back row of the final, via the LCQ (last chance qualifier). Off of the start of the 22-lap Final, Pallin shot off the line in the 4th place position. As Pallin was working his way for a top 3 spot and unfortunate off caused Pallin to end up towards the back of the pack. Scott finished in the 10th place position, with Pallin and Lieders to follow.

For Day-2 at Deadwood, Mother Nature peaked her head out and showered Deadwood with a snowy evening for Round 8. Even with tough visibility and sugary-consistency to the snow conditions, Team LaVallee was able to again have all 3 riders in the Round 8 Final. Pallin and Lieders in the front row and Jake Scott in the back, via the LCQ. Off of the start of the final, Pallin jumped out of the gate in the first place position and held onto that spot for half of the 22-lap final. Pallin was able to hold his momentum for the second half of the final and finished an awesome 3rd place! And adding to that excitement, Scott and Lieders were able to finish within the top 10 in the 7th and 8th place positions (a new best Pro Open finish for Lieders). A very strong race for the Mystik Lubricants, Loctite, Polaris sleds and an awesome way to end at the Deadwood Shootout.

“It’s always fun and challenging at Deadwood. With a small track and uncertain weather conditions, it makes for an interesting race for both the races and fans. And I tell you what, Deadwood had some of the best racing we’ve seen this season. Super pumped to see Kyle back on the podium and having Jake and Andy follow with great finishes as well. Looking forward to seeing what this weekend holds in New York! ” Levi LaVallee
