Sauk Rapids, MN – Team Bauerly Racing is proud to announce that they will again pilot Ski-doo brand snowmobiles for the upcoming race season. The team, who was awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award and the Privateer Team of the Year Award in past seasons, has also built up quite a resume as of late. This year marks the teams 14th season on the track; they have assembled a strong group that is ready to pursue victory on the ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross (ACS) Tour.
Kurt Bauerly #318 will be back to defend his National Championship Title from last season in the Pro Plus 30 class on the ACS Tour. He has left his mark in recent years with a long list of podium finishes and class wins; his recent championship is a testament to that. “Now the lone representative of the racing Bauerly’s after Ross’s retirement from competition, I definitely plan to be a title contender in 2016, but I am also excited to work with these new riders to carry on the success that we have had as a family and as a team.” (Kurt Bauerly)
Shane Sewell #219 who hails from Westville, Indiana will be back to compete in the ultra competitive Pro-Lite class with Team Bauerly. With a full season under his belt on the snow, and the strong resume he has racked up on 2 wheels, look for big things to come from this strong determined rider. Shane states: “I’d like to first thank Team Bauerly and Ski-doo for giving me the chance to race Snocross; it’s a huge confidence booster having great people behind me going into the season. I’m going to show up at Duluth ready for war!”
With the recent retirements of a few longtime team riders, it was time once again to look outside the box in order to find another exciting addition to the group. With the help of Jason from Straightline Performance and Olle from Oktan AB Sweden, Marcus Ogemar from Östersund, Sweden will join the team in the Pro-Lites Class for the first part of the season in the U.S. The accomplished young rider has won the Swedish National Championship, a Clash of Nations Gold, and is the current FIM World Snocross Champion for 2015 so racing ISOC ACS was the logical next step in his career.
“We’re excited for the diverse levels of experience of the team we have assembled; this group has us positioned to do great things. Our hardworking crew and the many great sponsors that help make this all work are the key foundation to our success. Everyone on the team is focused on the mission of getting on the podium; the new sled from Ski-doo and the program we put together will help us accomplish just that.” – Chad and Paul Bauerly.
