Aurora, MN October 7th 2015
With the fields mowed and the snowguns ready to be placed in action snowmaking is just around the corner. “We have made snow as early as October 5th in the past so it could be any day when the guns fire up”. said Steve Scheuring. One thing about being located in Northern Minnesota is we get early cold temperatures that give us a head start in the snowmaking process.
Last year we limited the amount of riders on the track each day and it made for some fantastic testing opportunities. We plan to do the same this year. We have added a second groomer, additional snoguns, as well as creating a huge hill from the 45,000 yards of material that was excavated from a street reconstruction project in Aurora. If we get enough cold weather prior to Duluth our hope is to include the massive hill in the track prior to Duluth.
The area hotels and resorts give discounted lodging during the month of November as the Golf season is done and the ski/snowmobile season has not started. For more information follow Scheuring speed sports on Facebook (and Like us) or check out our website www.scheuring-speedsports.com
