A ROUGH TRACK AT CHICAGO NATIONAL BRINGS CONSISTENT RESULTS FOR PALLIN

Longville, MN (March 7, 2016) Route 66 Raceway, in Joliet, Illinois (just outside of Chicago) was the host to rounds 13 and 14 on the ACS Snocross Tour. The track was created inside the Route 66 Raceway drag strip and the well-prepared crew (who had been blowing snow since early January) was able to create and preserve the man-made snow. Though the track was small in size, it was one of the most challenging and technical courses we’ve seen this season.

For Pallin (Pro Open) the challenging course did show its difficultly throughout the weekend. While hole shots where key, getting the right rhythm through the track was a make or break situation. Pallin’s qualifying rounds throughout the 2-Day National were strong and consistent. His results both days allowed him to bypass the LCQ’s (last chance qualifiers) and go straight into the Pro Open Finals, in the front row. On the line of the Round 13 Final on Friday Night, Pallin came off of the line third and into the first set of jumps, Pallin lost a few spots and put him back towards the middle of the pack. As the laps when on in the 20-Lap final, Pallin was able to work his way up and finish in the 6 place position! Under the lights Saturday, the large crowd was in for an exciting race. Pallin came out swinging off of the line and was set into a good position. The grueling track and sticky snow conditions made an added challenge for Pallin and an unfortunate tip in a corner caused Pallin to fall back a couple positions but he was able to regain his momentum and finish again, in the notable 6th place position.

For Team LaVallee’s grassroots riders, Evan Daudt (Sport) made his way back up to the podium on Friday night with an exciting 2nd place finish and rounded out the weekend with a 7th place finish on Saturday. Adam Peterson (Sport) had a good weekend of racing, finishing 9th on Friday and 14th on Saturday.
