Winnipeg, Man. (January 5, 2017) – Beaupre is a name new to the BOSS Racing team this season and new to the sport of snocross, but one that many Minnesota sports fans are sure to remember. Beaupre Aerial Equipment, one of the largest lift, boom and material handler rental companies in the region, was founded in 2003 by former Minnesota North Stars goaltender Don Beaupre.
BOSS Racing team owner Garry Querel met Beaupre at the Ryder Cup golf event when it was hosted in the Twin Cities last summer and the two fellow Canadians quickly found they shared interests that extended beyond golf and included snowmobiling. “I rode growing up as a kid on my grandpa’s farm.” said Beaupre. I like snowmobiling and it’s still something we do when we get time. It’s a neat event at Canterbury. We hope to bring a few customers out and it is a nice team building experience for us internally.”
Teamwork is a key aspect of Beaupre Aerial Equipment’s philosophy. After spending 17 seasons in the NHL with the North Stars, Washington Capitols, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs, Beaupre brought that mentality to the daily operation of the rental business to provide customer with the type of experience that had been missing in the industry.
