Longville, MN (January 10, 2017) – After the New Year, the race teams were headed back to a favorite stop on the ACS Snocross Series. A triple header weekend took place at Canterbury Park and Racetrack in Shakopee, Minnesota. Rounds 5 and 6 took place Friday and Saturday, while a third day of racing took place on Sunday where Round 2 was made up from a weather cancellation at the Duluth National over Thanksgiving weekend. With cold temps, the crew at ACS and Canterbury Park were able to make an ample amount of snow and design a technical track, consisting of an elevated start, challenging rhythm sections, and big air. The packed crowd were in for a high-flying weekend of racing.

Over the course of the 3 day weekend, Team LaVallee riders Zak Mason (Pro Lite) and Kyle Pallin (Pro) were looking very strong and consistent on their Loctite/Polaris/Red Bull sleds. Each rider made it into every final throughout the weekend and had some of the best racing we’ve seen, with smart passing, great starts off of the line, and holding their positions for strong finishes. The highlights over the weekend was Round 6 Saturday Night for Pallin, finishing a solid 5th place. For Mason, his determination really shined during the Round 5 Pro Lite Final, where he pulled an awesome start off of the line and rode smooth and consistent earning the top spot on the podium with a 1st place finish at Canterbury Park Friday Night.

Team LaVallee’s grassroots rider, Evan Daudt (Pro Lite) had awesome qualifying throughout the weekend. In the Round 2 Make Up race on Sunday, Daudt had a great run finishing in the 5th place spot (a season best for Daudt). Adam Peterson (Sport) made his return after missing rounds 3 and 4 in Winter Park, CO and came back swinging, with a 2nd place podium finish on Friday night. It was an overall great weekend of racing for Team LaVallee. Looking forward to a weekend off for further testing and practice, before we get back on the road to Deadwood, SD for rounds 7 and 8.
