New venue signed for season finale at ECS Conx2share Series, Presented by Woody’s Traction and FXR

2018 Champions to be crowned at Bousquet Mountain

CLARKSBURG, Mass. (March 6, 2018) – Officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) have announced a new venue for their 2018 season finale, and that venue is the perfect place to host such an important event.

On Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8, the series will make its debut at the beautiful Bousquet Mountain Ski Area, located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Situated in the heart of the famed Berkshires, Bousquet Mountain offers the room, accommodations and fan amenities needed to do it up right.

“With the loss of our events in Syracuse and Old Forge in New York, we needed to find a venue with good snow conditions and the right location,” ECS general manager Josh Little explained.

“Bousquet Mountain is a family-owned and operated facility, and they’re excited to bring our brand of family-oriented entertainment to town. Pittsfield is close to the base of many race teams and close to our home office, so we’re all very excited to cap the season right here in our own back yards.”

The series kicked off its 2018 campaign in fine fashion with successful debuts in Winchester, New Hampshire, Hermon, Maine (just outside Bangor) and in Warrensburg, New York. After joining the ISOC National teams out in Salamanca, NY, for the U.S. Air Force event, momentum slowed when warm temps and rain spoiled plans in Syracuse for a third consecutive year.

“Our first three stand-alone events went off well, given the hurdles we faced,” Little added. “We have room to improve in our second appearance at those venues, yet the potential exists for them to become premier events. I firmly believe that Bousquet Mountain can produce a great show, as well.”

Voted to have the “Best Downhill Skiing in the Berkshires” in the 2010 Berkshire Eagle Readers Poll, Bousquet Mountain rests on the edge of the City of Pittsfield. The mountain’s Operations team is dedicated to grooming, snow making and creating top-notch terrain parks with nice features.

Bousquet Mountain offers skiers and riders a choice of 22 trails served by four lifts. During the summer, the mountain is home to the Berkshire Adventure Park. Families gather at the mountain to enjoy six water slides and an activity pool for younger children. A new two section zip line offers riders a chance to soar 700 feet for a thrilling experience unmatched anywhere in southern New England.

Race teams spring back into action on March 17-18 at the beautiful Mount Southington ski area in Plantsville, Connecticut. Action will continue on March 24-25 at Peek ‘N Peak in Clymer, NY, before the season concludes and our 2018 champions are crowned at Bousquet Mountain.

The East Coast Snocross Conx2share Series, presented by Woody’s Traction and FXR, is an ISR-affiliated sanctioning body for snowmobile racing in the northeastern United States. ECS maintains a regional circuit intended to keep grassroots snocross racing healthy in this part of the country, while also cultivating new talent for tomorrow’s factory-backed national Pro teams.
