Finley, ND (January 13, 2025) – Rounds two and three of the national snocross tour were held at the biggest venue of the season, with a sell out crowd packing the Canterbury Park horse racing facility just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

For Pro class rider Oskar Norum, it was a weekend of continuing development as he and the team search to hit on a setup that has him in peak form. Oskar has shown plenty of impressive times on the stopwatch leading up to the season and is as healthy and in race shape as ever, but has yet to feel 100% comfortable on his machine.

Norum turned in scores of 8-9-6 in Friday’s Pro triple crown to finish eighth overall. On Saturday, he went 11-10-7 for 10th and currently sits ninth early in the Championship and is still well in contention to make a move to the upper tier of the leaderboard.

Evan Christian started the weekend with outstanding qualifying efforts, going 2-1 in his Pro Lite heat races and lining up on his preferred inside front row starting position in the main event. Evan rocketed to a massive lead as the pack rounded the first turn but then caught a rut that pitched his machine sideways as it launched over the first series of double jumps.

Christian was thrown over the front of his sled and clipped by one of the 14 other racers who had little time to react to the incident. Unfortunately, Evan did receive some cuts and bruises that prevented him from finishing the race but he was able to line up again on Saturday night.

Day two of the weekend saw more great qualifying efforts out of Evan, with finishes of 3-2 in his heat races. Still feeling the effects of Friday’s crash, Christian lined up for the main event and was off to a good start inside the top 10 when he was t-boned by another racer. The impact left the #33 rider and machine at the back of the pack and although he would rejoin the race a lap down, the gap was too big to close, finishing 15th.

Evan Christian –

I’m doing good, just a little bruised up. Still gonna keep on our same plan and keep getting better. This race was not our best but I am very confident that in the near future we will have a great thing going.

Up next is the legendary bullring in Deadwood, South Dakota. This fan favorite event, presented by Christian Cars Online, will take place on January 24-25 in the heart of the Black Hills.
