Rookies Rule in Eagle River as Dillon Takes Points Lead and Hemmer Clinches in Pro AM Women
Eagle River, Wis. ~ With just three rounds remaining in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross season, presented by Brunt Workwear, Saturday night at the historic World Championship Derby Complex in Eagle River carried enormous weight in the championship chase. Round 14 represented one of the final opportunities for riders to gain ground before the season finale in Duluth, placing added urgency on every lap across the national classes.
Eagle River’s legendary oval layout delivered a fast, racy track that demanded both precision and commitment. Multiple lines, big jumps, and deepening bumps challenged riders throughout the evening, rewarding those willing to attack the course while maintaining the concentration needed to avoid costly mistakes. With championships tightening and the margin for error shrinking, Saturday’s races became pivotal moments for contenders looking to either seize momentum or keep their title hopes alive.

Dillon Delivers Weekend Sweep, Takes Over Pro Points Lead
After 14 rounds of racing, the AMSOIL Pro championship has a new leader. Rookie Crayden Dillon seized control of the standings Saturday night in Eagle River with a commanding performance that completed a weekend sweep and reshaped the title fight heading into the final rounds.
Jordan Lebel grabbed the Stud Boy Holeshot to start the race, but the points leader was quickly shuffled deep into the pack as the field sorted itself out through the opening turns. Out front, Dillon capitalized immediately. Unlike the previous two rounds — where he had to charge from deep in the field to reach the podium, including Friday night’s victory — Dillon started at the front and never relinquished control. Building a gap early, he managed the race to the finish and secured his third win of the season.
“We came into the weekend, and the track was pretty boring, but it seemed to be shaping up in my favor,” said Dillon. “I don’t know, I just put in some good laps, just played it smart and got through the weekend 1-1 and I am just super stoked on that.”
The victory carried major championship implications. With Lebel finishing outside the top five and defending champion Emil Harr only managing starts, Dillon will head to Duluth with a 19-point lead over Lebel, who entered the day holding a six-point advantage.
Behind the new points leader, Daniel Benham kept the pressure on throughout the race and moved into second on lap eight after slipping past Gustav Sahlsten. The result marked Benham’s second runner-up finish of the weekend and keeps him mathematically in the title hunt.
Sahlsten rounded out the podium after a fierce late battle with Ryley Bester. Bester charged forward late in the race and the pair drag raced to the finish line, with Sahlsten edging him by just .07 seconds to secure his third podium finish of the season.

Cole Crosses First in Wild Pro Lite Final, Penalty Hands Win to Goike
The Pro Lite final delivered nonstop action Saturday night in Eagle River, with the lead changing hands multiple times in one of the most chaotic races of the season.
Evan Christian blasted off the line and grabbed the early lead, but the field was charging hard behind him. Kenny Goike quickly erased the deficit and by lap three found a fast outside line to sling past Christian and take control of the race.
Two laps later, points leader Cameron Cole had worked his way around Christian and was suddenly bar-to-bar with Goike. Cole capitalized quickly, slipping into the lead and beginning to stretch the gap as he appeared poised to complete a weekend sweep. Cole crossed the finish line first, capping off a dramatic race and seemingly securing his eighth victory of the season.
“We came like mid-pack off the start, and I had a couple of fast riders in front of me,” said Cole. “I was just trying to charge that whole race and keep my mind clear and I made some passes. I just kept charging and it felt good.”
Behind him, Christian shook off pressure from Adam Ashline before mounting a late charge on Goike, the pair battling hard through the closing laps as they navigated lapped traffic. Goike ultimately held the position to finish second, while Christian completed the podium in third.
However, following the race officials ruled that Cole had jumped under a yellow flag for a downed rider near the finish line. The penalty dropped Cole to fourth in the final results, awarding Goike his first career Pro Lite victory, with Christian second and Domenic Hegman third.

Hemmer Clinches Pro AM Women Championship with Eagle River Sweep
Avery Hemmer took control of the Pro AM Women championship long before the final checkered flag fell Saturday night in Eagle River. After leaving ERX without a win, the 14-year-old rookie responded with authority, sweeping the weekend and clinching the championship with one race weekend still remaining.
Hemmer started third in Saturday’s final and quickly found herself in an early battle with Victoria Dillon. Dillon briefly took the lead from the points leader, but Hemmer answered immediately, reclaiming the top spot and steadily pulling away from the field. With the victory, Hemmer secured the weekend sweep and heads to Duluth with a commanding 93-point advantage, officially locking up the championship in her rookie season.
“This is so unreal right now,” said Hemmer. “This goes back to the Champ 120 days. I can’t thank my family and friends enough, and my team. This one means a lot.”
Dillon returned to the form that saw her open the year with seven straight podium finishes, riding a strong race to second and her first podium of the weekend. Behind them, Ava McCurdy and Saga Forsell battled throughout the final for the last podium position, with Forsell ultimately securing third to earn her second podium of the weekend.
Meanwhile, championship contender Inanna Hauger — who sits third in the standings — returned to the track as a spectator Saturday after being caught in a first-turn incident on Friday. However, due to injuries sustained in the crash, Hauger will not compete for the remainder of the season.

Todd Takes Control with Pro AM Plus 30 Victory
After five straight rounds where first-time winners played spoiler in the Pro AM Plus 30 class, points leader Corin Todd returned to the top step of the podium Saturday night in Eagle River.
Friday night winner Marcus Ogemar, making his season debut this weekend, grabbed the holeshot and led the early laps with Adam S. Johnson and Todd close behind. As the race wound down, lapped traffic began to influence the battle at the front. With three laps remaining, Todd found the opening he needed, slipping past both riders and taking control of the lead.
From there, Todd expertly managed the congestion and found clean lines through traffic to pull away for his fifth victory of the season. With Tyler Oomen finishing ninth, Todd extended his championship lead to 36 points heading into the final weekend in Duluth.
“I have such a huge support group, here at the track and at home,” said Todd. “I got to thank each and every one of them. Just really happy to make all of this hard work really come together and put me on top of the box.”
Behind him, Ogemar regrouped and worked his way through traffic to secure the runner-up position, but he faced heavy pressure from Brian Petersen. Petersen charged forward from fifth with three laps remaining and closed rapidly on Ogemar, ultimately finishing just four-tenths of a second behind in third to secure his first podium since New York.

Skogquist Siblings Steal the Show in Sport Final
The Pirtek Sport final at Eagle River turned into a family affair Saturday night as brothers Wyatt and AJ Skogquist battled for control of round 14. Wyatt grabbed the holeshot and set the early pace, but he quickly found pressure from AJ as the pair traded fast laps at the front of the field.
On lap seven, AJ Skogquist made his move and slipped past his brother, then laid down a series of quick laps to distance himself from the pack and secure his first victory of the season.
Behind them, Wyatt Skogquist had his hands full in a tight fight to the finish with Kamden Duffy and Cody Moras. Duffy, who started ninth, mounted a late charge and slipped past Moras on the final lap to take third. At the line, Duffy finished just half a second behind Wyatt and two-tenths ahead of Moras in a three-sled sprint to the checkered flag.
The result also shook up the championship battle. Duffy’s timely podium came as points leader Jimmy Stanisich and Justin Blazevic both finished outside the top five. Stanisich will carry a 13-point advantage over Blazevic and a 26-point lead over Duffy into the final race weekend of the season.

VanHorsigh Vaults Toward Title with Dominant Sport Lite Win
Carter VanHorsigh continues to build momentum toward the Sport Lite championship. VanHorsigh grabbed the lead early and controlled the race from start to finish, securing his fifth victory of the season and extending his championship advantage to 92 points heading into the finale in Duluth.
Two-time winner Ryder Hayes made his return to racing this weekend after a two-month layoff and quickly found his form. Hayes worked his way past Thomas Didier on lap three and maintained the runner-up position to secure a podium finish in his return.
Didier held steady in third, fending off pressure from Zach Miller throughout the race. The result allowed Didier to maintain his edge over Miller in the battle for third place in the championship standings.

Specialty Box & Crate Junior 14–15: With points leader Carter vanHorshigh not lining up for Saturday’s Junior 14–15 final, the opportunity was there for the rest of the field — and Ryder Hayes capitalized. After missing the podium only once this year, Hemmer added another highlight by taking the lead on lap two and riding away to capture her second victory of the season.

Starting fourth, Buteau methodically worked her way into second by lap three and maintained the position to the finish. The result allowed her to leave Eagle River with a 68-point advantage over Hemmer in the championship standings.

Points leader Ryan Shimanski saw his four-race win streak come to an end but still extended his advantage in the standings. Starting fifth, Shimanski worked his way forward and slipped past Jack Gelinas on lap three to move into second. Gelinas briefly fought back to reclaim the position before settling into third, securing his fifth straight podium finish.

Anderson’s Maple Syrup Transition 9-13: Noah Gillis left no doubt in Saturday’s Transition 9–13 final at Eagle River. While Gillis rode comfortably out front, the battle for the remaining podium spots turned into a late-race sprint. Isaac Otto held the runner-up position with points leader Ryan Shimanski running third, but Jack Gelinas charged forward from fourth with two laps remaining, passing both riders in quick succession to move into second.
At the finish, Gelinas crossed the line .9 seconds ahead of Otto for second, and Shimanski only .014 behind Otto in fourth after a tight dash to the checkered flag.

Behind him, Deegan Giguere started second but slipped back to third early after Landan Lynse moved into the runner-up position. The battle tightened in the closing laps, and on the final lap Giguere reclaimed second, edging Lynse at the line by just .079 seconds to secure his third straight podium finish.
