Elk River, Minnesota (November 19, 2012) – The passion for competition and the desire to win burns deep within most successful companies regardless of what service they offer or what product they provide. Such is the case with PMC (Premier Materials Concept), a high performance plastics division of Rowmark based in Findlay, Ohio, who recently announced their commitment and partnership with Carlson Motorsports for the 2012-2013 snowmobile racing season.
Highly regarded within the plastic thermoforming marketplace, PMC and their products may sound mundane to the average snowmobile enthusiast. However, the passion for success and the team spirit that resonates within PMC and its parent company Rowmark mirrors the spirit of competition found on today’s national snocross tour.
“It didn’t take long for both of us to realize we had a lot of common ground and that we could be mutually beneficial for each other,” said Chris Carlson, Team Owner and Manager for Carlson Motorsports. “They (PMC) were looking for ways to energize and reward their customers and we both recognized almost immediately the energy and excitement surrounding our national snocross team fit that requirement perfectly.”
PMC will become a primary sponsor for the Carlson Motorsports team for the 2012-2013 season as Pro-Open athlete Johan Lidman, and Pro-Lite rider Andrew Carlson campaign the entire International Series of Champions (ISOC) National Snocross tour. The national snocross tour is the sport’s premiere snowmobile competition platform and is broadcast weekly during the season on CBS Sports Network along with live streaming during the event via UStream.
“We are very excited about being a part of the Carlson Motorsports Team said PMC/Rowmark President and Chief Executive Officer Duane Jebbett. “I became immediately hooked on the energy surrounding the team and snocross racing when I visited with Chris this summer. Our plan is to allow our customers to share in that excitement throughout the season. We’ve talked about a number of ways to accomplish that including VIP race day experiences and guest pit crew opportunities along with sharing post race communications and videos with the entire Rowmark/PMC family.”
With the start of the season less than a week away, everyone at Carlson Motorsports is bursting with anticipation and high expectations, but none more so than racers Lidman and Carlson. Both athletes have been preparing for the start of the season since virtually the minute the previous season ended.
