February 18, 2013 – Current ISOC National Snocross Pro Open Championship points leader, Tucker Hibbert, will return to New York state this weekend after a two-year absence. Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca will host rounds 11 and 12 of the ISOC National tour Friday and Saturday nights, marking Hibbert’s first-career appearance in the Southwest region of the state.
Last year, Hibbert was unable to compete in the New York event due to a scheduling conflict. Snocross events held in the Northeast U.S. typically pull-in overflow, high-energy crowds. He hopes his allegiance of fans will come out in full force.
Hibbert has been on a tear winning seven of the past eight ISOC National final events and capturing his sixth-consecutive X Games gold medal in late January. He looks to continue his winning streak this weekend. Pro racing action kicks-off at 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available at the gate or online at snocross.com.
Tucker Hibbert – #68 Monster Energy/Arctic Cat
“It’s going to be cool racing in New York again. I was disappointed I wasn’t able to race there last year. It’s always a lot of fun racing in New York because the fans are so excited. It’s a great area for recreational riding so that helps drive the excitement level. I know Arctic Cat is popular in the Northeast U.S. so I hope to see a lot of fans dressed in green this weekend!
We (the series) are racing at new venue this weekend so I’m not sure what to expect but I know we’ll put on a good show. I’m approaching this event the same as every other race weekend. I have a good points lead but that can change really fast. For me, I’m focused on racing the way I’ve been all year and that’s to win. We (the team) are excited about the season and we’re having a lot of fun. I feel strong and confident.”
