Minneapolis – Dec. 30, 2011 – “Freaky fast” will have a whole new meaning at Canterbury Park and Racetrack (Shakopee, Minn.) this Jan. 6-7 when the world’s greatest gourmet sandwich maker – Jimmy John’s – joins forces with the world’s premier high speed, motocross-style snowmobile racing circuit – the ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series.
Jimmy John’s, currently dialed into snowmobile racing and the ACSS through the BOSS Racing team, will elevate its already lofty status amongst the close-knit snowmobile community in the heart of the snow belt region with the presenting sponsor title at this season’s Canterbury.
“Jimmy John’s is excited to be a part of the ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series for the Canterbury Traxxas National,” said Jimmy John Liautaud, founder and CEO of Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches. “It is simple. We are passionate about being freaky fast and these snowmobilers are just that!”
Added John Daniels, President of Long Haul Trucking Promotions – the producers of the ACSS: “We’re thrilled to see Jimmy John’s expanding its strategic motorsports marketing efforts to include the entire AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series. We look forward to playing a proactive role in activating Jimmy John’s interest in the Canterbury round, working with the local Jimmy John’s gourmet sandwich shops to drive interest to both their award-winning product and to see the Jimmy John’s-backed BOSS Racing team in action at the Canterbury snocross event.”
Founded in 1983, Jimmy John Liautaud launched the now iconic “JJ” brand on limited funds out of his garage – something the garage-based racers on the ACSS tour can certainly relate to, having spent hours upon hours themselves holed up in a garage while preparing their sleds for the Canterbury race. Jimmy John’s is known for its obsession with high speed sandwich execution, freaky fast delivery and no gimmicks which is a perfect match for the go-getting, no excuses, hands-on, DIY creed of the snowmobile-racing brethren.
AMSOIL Snocross Championship Series racing welcomes Jimmy John’s gourmet sandwiches to the Canterbury race, round three of the 2011-’12 ACSS tour!
