Rounds 5 & 6 – Canterbury, MN
January 4-5, 2013

Shakopee, MN (January 5, 2013) – It was a solid weekend start-to-finish for the Hengtes Racing team in front their hometown fans at the marque Canterbury Park ISOC AMSOIL Pro event.  Pro Open rookie Kody Kamm showed that he’s healed up nicely from a pre-season injury and racked up back-to-back podiums under the lights of the challenging circuit on his Polaris Pirtek sled.

The 18 year-old  brought  home a victory circle Runner-Up finish after capitalizing on mistakes by the leaders…a great way to debut that Monster Energy helmet!  Justin Broberg finished out the weekend with a full-court press to bring home a top-5 Saturday night. Broberg’s confidence in his new team and comfort level on the Polaris snowmobile also shined.

The all new line-up for Hentges Racing this year made the seasoned veterans take note. Look for more of the same as Kody and Justin head to the ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, CO January 27th.

Kody Kamm #53 quote – “We did a lot of testing heading into this weekend and that really helped. My Polaris sled was dialed in and the testing made me feel like I had a lot more control driving it. I was able to have good heats and decent starts. I’m not going to lie, it feels pretty good to podium on Friday and back it up tonight with a 2nd-place podium too! So, yeah, I’m pretty stoked!”

Justin Broberg #168 quote –“Honestly, Friday wasn’t the best for me. I struggled a bit trying to get where I wanted. Today was so much better. I felt really comfortable. My practice times were fast. I had good heats and started on the front row. I had good starts all night and was able to stay in it. So, overall, not too bad. I would like to have given Hentges Racing a 2-3 finish, but we’re going to get there and I’m happy for Kody and the whole team.”

Tim Bender, team manager quote – “This was a really strong weekend for Hentges Racing, and at our home race. We’ve had a little bit of a rough start to the season. Kody wasn’t quite healthy and Justin didn’t have a lot of time to get use to switching from Ski-Doo to Polaris sleds, but we are getting some time under our belts and learning what they each need. Overall, I think we can be pretty satisfied with this weekend and wins are not going to be very far out for us.”
