Deadwood, South Dakota February 4, 2013  Deadwood, South Dakota hosted Mid-season Rounds 7 and 8 of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series. A legendary town made infamous as the site where gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok met his death while playing poker -Deadwood brought a western twist and an intense battle to the national tour.

Corey Watkinson set an excellent pace for the team placing 2nd and 1st in his Friday Night heats.  Pro Lite teammate Renaud Alexandre also took a first in Heat 1 followed by a fourth in Heat 2 – advancing both Pro Lite Riders to the front row of the Pro Lite Final where Alexandre secured the 3rd place podium slot.

Alexandre repeated that performance on Saturday in the Pro Lite Round 8 Final, taking another 3rd place podium spot for the team. Watkinson had an off during the LCQ which prevented his advance to Saturdays’s Pro Lite Final.

Pro Petter Narsa ( #271) has certainly had his work cut out for him this season, with an intensely tight field of top caliber athletes in the elite Pro class, but his calm consistent approach continues to advance him in season points. Narsa had strong showings in his Friday Night heat races- taking a 2nd and a 1st for Team Jimmy John’s and advancing to the front row of the main. Petter finished 5th in the Pro Open Final on Friday after a wild ride on the hairpin course. On Saturday, Narsa placed 2nd in both of his Pro Open qualifying rounds and ended his weekend with a 7th place place finish in his final, which nudged him one spot forward in national points to 8th overall.
