Winnipeg, MB-February 10, 2014- Team Jimmy John’s returned from Winter X Games to compete in Rounds 7 and 8 of the ACS National Series held January 31- Feb 1st in Deadwood, South Dakota. Both Petter Narsa (#271) and Darrin Mees (#9) advanced to Friday’s main event on the short, quick, and technical track. Narsa ended his night 9th overall with Mees right behind him in 10th. Saturday’s Round 8 qualifying went well for Narsa- where he took 3rd in both heats, finishing 7th overall in the final. Mees had a rough go of things, qualifying 6th in Heat 1 and suffering an ankle injury in Heat 2, sending him to the sidelines.
Mees was still out of competition this past weekend in Seneca, New York for Rounds 9 and 10 of the ACS Series. Narsa stepped things up here on the tightest track of the season; qualifying 5th, then 2nd in his heat races on Friday night. He advanced to the front row of the main, where he finished 9th overall. Saturday, Narsa came out strong again, qualifying 3rd and then 1st, taking him to the main as the second fastest qualifier of the night. He finished 11th overall after a slow start off the line.
