St. Cloud, MN (12/09/14) Warnert Racing is getting ready to embark on another exciting weekend of racing at the US Air Force National at the Buffalo River Race Park. The Ski-Doo/NSK/Makita/GMC powered team has been training hard at Quanda Mountain Park and participated in the regional race this past weekend.

Team co-owner Ron Warnert noted that, “The team is ready to go. They’ve been testing hard and we’re looking forward to the weekend.”

In the Pro Open class, John Stenberg is looking to maintain his position as the highest standing rookie in points after Duluth. The pilot of the Makita Industrial Power Tools Ski-Doo is making his mark and striving for consistency in the challenging ISOC Pro Open class.

“The Pro Open class is different, everyone is so fast and good. It’s a big learning curve. I have to be on it every lap- these guys aren’t joking around.  I need to be consistent, stay on sled and finish good every race. My goal is to make it to the final every weekend. Top 10 in points is my goal after the year,” said Stenberg about being a rookie in the Pro Open class.

The new kid on the block, 16-year old Norwegian Phenom Elias Ishoel made a big splash in the Pro Lite class two weekends ago in Duluth. Ishoel made a mid-race pass and ran away with the lead to take the win on the first night of action. He will come into the Fargo National second in the points standings. With his unique riding style and no-nonsense attitude, Ishoel will be one to watch.
