Finley, ND (December 22, 2015)

The US Air Force Snocross National Dec. 12th & 13th at Buffalo River Race Park near Fargo, ND produced a setback early in the weekend for KC Motorsports. KC Pro Lite racer, Travis Kern headed into Friday’s rounds with strong 2nd & 3rd place finishes. Unfortunately, a harsh landing injured Kern’s knee early in the Pro Lite final, forcing him to pull off of the track . Kern only took starts in Saturday’s rounds. Travis said he is confident that having the next few weeks off will allow him to start the new year healthy and he’s looking forward to getting back on the track. \
Jr. Novice racer, Evan Christian, began his weekend with a solid first round, finishing 3rd. While racing for the lead in the last two laps of round two, Christian bobbled and fell off, finishing 4th in the heat. Although he jumped the start in the final and started from the back row, the #333 Arctic Cat rider fought to finish 5th overall. “I guess I was pretty determined at the start of the final, after having had a ‘get-off’ in round two. I paid the price jumping the start, though, having to go to the back row, but I rode hard and feel that I am improving each race weekend.”

Regional racing action continued on Sunday in Fargo for Evan Christian, who finished 2nd overall in both the Jr. Novice 10-13 and Jr. Novice Combined classes, competing in wet, soggy conditions. After three races, Christian is currently sitting in 2nd place in MN Regional points in both classes.

KC Motorsports would like to thank our sponsors and wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! See you in Shakopee, MN, January 9th & 10th!
