Pallin Earns Double Podium at Salamanca, NY National

Longville, MN (February 9, 2016) – Immediately following the Winter X Games in Aspen, CO, Team LaVallee traveled to the East Coast, where Rounds 9 and 10 of the ISOC Series took place at the beautiful Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca, New York. Due to the unseasonably warm weather, all of the snow for the snocross track was created with all man-made snow. And because of the warm weather, the track conditions were constantly changing throughout the day and into the night for the 2-Day National. With the biggest crowd we have seen in Salamanca, snocross fans from all over the area were in from some high-flying action packed racing.

In the Pro Open Class, Kyle Pallin was riding with a new found confidence and strong determination throughout the weekend. Awesome qualifying allowed Pallin to avoid both LCQ’s and go directly into each final Friday and Saturday night. In the Pro Open Round 9 Final Friday night, Pallin qualified 3rd. Off of the start of the 16-lap final, Pallin came out in the 5th place position. With smart riding and fast technique through the rhythm sections Pallin was able to work his way up to an exciting 2nd place! Carrying that same moment as the night before, Pallin was hungry for another podium finish. Off of the line in the Pro Open Round 10 Final, Pallin got pinched off of the start and found himself in the 6th place position. Pallin passed his way to 3rd place and then was black-flagged for passing under a yellow flag (which Pallin regrets he did not see). Falling back two positions (per the black flag regulations) Pallin had his work cut out for him to snag a podium finish. With less than half of the laps left to go, Pallin found a fast line, made smooth passes, and was able to take the final podium spot in an impressive 3rd place. Pallin was all grins standing on the podium, leaving Salamanca with not one but two podium finishes.

For Team LaVallee’s Grassroots riders, it was a victorious weekend for Sport Rider, Evan Daudt and Sport Lite / Sport Rider, Adam Peterson. Peterson placed 1st in Sport Lite #1 Final and also won his first Sport final  on Friday. Evan Daudt placed just behind Peterson on Friday, taking 2nd place. And on Saturday Daudt finished an exciting 3rd place and Peterson rounded out the weekend in a notable 6th place.

Team LaVallee’s Pro Lite Rider, Zak Mason will be out for the rest of the season, due to a shoulder injury he suffered at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. After trying to practice at the Deadwood National, the strength in Mason’s shoulder was not there and surgery was scheduled for later that week. Mason is expected to make a full recovery. We wish him well and look forward to next season!
