Winnipeg, MB. – February 10, 2016 – Salamanca, New York played host to ISOC national snocross rounds 9 & 10 as the Jimmy John’s/Lucas Oil/Ski-Doo team signed in for the third straight weekend of competition after having trekked cross-country from a stellar X Games in Aspen, Colorado.

Both Adam and Marica Renheim have been on fire in recent weeks and looked to continue their pace as the national tour moves into the second half of the season. Adam was the first team rider on the track Friday, and picked right up where he left off turning the fastest time in the second practice session.

Renheim put in solid heat race performances qualifying 5-3 and moving directly to the front row of the final. At the start of the main event he was pinched off at mid pack but quickly began passing riders. With three laps remaining he moved into the fifth position which he was able to maintain to the finish.

“I was very happy with our speed,” said Renheim. The sled has been getting faster every week and I just got caught behind other riders on the start and had to make the passes when I could.”

On Saturday Marica was on track with the Pro-AM Women’s class and dominated her qualifying going 1-1. She got an uncharacteristic poor start in the main event but quickly raced into contact with the top two riders. On lap five Marica made her way past rival Elina Ohman and put a hard charge on point leader Megan Brodeur but was not able to make her way past before the checkered flag and finished second.

Adam had another good night in the Pro Open class with his second straight fifth place finish, this time getting the edge over the rider he is currently battling for second place in the championship.

The team will be in Valcourt, Quebec this weekend for the historic Grand Prix de Valcourt at the home of Ski-Doo snowmobiles.
