Fertile, MN (March 13, 2018) – Christian Brothers Racing traveled to the slopes of the Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque, Iowa this past weekend.  In its’ second year hosting the AMSOIL Championship Snocross National, the track this year consisted of a high speed downhill sweeping start, crowd pleasing big jumps and two downhill sections.  Competing in six classes, Christian Brothers Racing riders brought home six podium finishes.

Logan Christian (doc/AMG Peterbilt/Arctic Cat) entered Iowa looking to continue momentum into the final two events. Starts were key at Sundown Mountain, and Christian rocketed to the front in both finals. On Friday he was part of a pack of Arctic Cat riders who took over the Top 4 off the start, he continued that charge throughout the race and secured a 3rd place finish. On Saturday Christian did it again, jumping out in the front of the pack and maintained a 2nd place finish, continuing in the third place position in season points.

“I felt great this weekend and the team really had our Arctic Cat’s dialed in,” said Christian. “Getting another double podium weekend with a 2nd and a 3rd is awesome. The track in Iowa was fun and the team really had our Arctic Cat snowmobiles dialed in.”

Jacob Yurk (Country Cat/TDS Equipment/Arctic Cat) was looking to continue racking up wins and podium finishes in Iowa. With just two weekends left to earn points, Yurk needed top finishes to stay in the hunt, and he did just that.  Taking a win and a 2nd place finish in finals and scoring Top 3 finishes in qualifiers all weekend. His Saturday race was a barn-burner with Yurk hounding the leader the entire race.

“I came real close to a weekend sweep, but couldn’t find a good spot to pass for the lead on Saturday,” said Yurk. “Looking forward to carrying this momentum into Lake Geneva. We’re not focused on points, our goal is to give it all every time we hit the track and we’ll see how it shakes out!”

Anson Scheele (Country Cat/Speedwerx/Arctic Cat) continues to impress in the Junior classes. The up-and-coming talent won Jr. 14-15 and Jr. 16-17, continuing his dominance in those classes.

Christian Brothers Racing gave away their seventh Troy Lee Designs Helmet. As the drawing winner, Sophia took home a Troy Lee Designs SE 4 Youth Factory Helmet. In addition to Troy Lee Helmets at every event, race fans also have the chance to enter to win an Arctic Cat ZR 200 snowmobile.
