Shakopee, MN (2/20/22) – Hentges Pro Racers, Kody Kamm and Oskar Norum, leave New York rounds seven and eight in great health and focused on the last half of the National Snocross season.

Hentges Racing team owner, Nate Hentges said, “New York was a tough track for us. We had mixed results, but overall, we’re proud of Kody who continues to duke it out at the top of the points standings. And proud of Oskar for laying down a solid run in Saturday night’s final, but fell just short of a podium finish. We’re looking forward to regrouping before Deadwood, where both Kody and Oskar combined for three podium finishes for Hentges Racing last season.”

The New York track layout shook up the results for many teams and competitors – One riddled with a long, wide drag race start to the first corner, but mixed with big timing whoops and off-camber terrain to get there. Once out of the corner, riders were faced with a fast-paced track and short lap times making it difficult to progress quickly through the field.

Both Hentges Racing Pros looked strong on their Polaris 600Rs though, and it was Kamm who was one of the few in Saturday night’s final who progressed the furthest through the field, laying down quick lap times and making passes on six positions before the checkers flew.

Kamm said, “We had some struggles getting around the first corner in New York, but our Polaris sleds performed great. They are definitely fast and drive through those big air-rhythm jumps which helps to pass the competition. With a bit more test and tune going into Deadwood, we’ll get out of that first corner on top and keep running at the front of the points standing.”

Hentges Racing gets a week off before returning to competition at the Deadwood National in South Dakota on March 4-5, 2022.
