Hentges Racing Fights the Forefront in Lake Geneva

Shakopee, MN (3/21/22) – Hentges Racing fought many forefronts in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin – Rain, Snow, Sunshine and one of the gnarliest tracks of the season that would be an equalizer for many, but further tighten the closer-than-close battle for the Hentges team to break into the top three-point standings.

Friday night, the AMSOIL Dominator event kicked off the spirit of competition in a non-points, $10K payout for a winner take all Pro versus Pro Lite battle. Both Hentges Pros, Oskar Norum and Kody Kamm, qualified first and second respectively and finished fourth and sixth after joining the remaining Pro qualifiers on the back row of the ten minute plus two lap final.

After a great run Friday night, the momentum continued for Norum during Saturday’s final as his Hentges-tuned Polaris shot off the line and into first. Norum looked like a man on a mission setting a plus four second fastest lap time. Leading the race with two laps remaining, a rhythm section on the big ski hill kicked Norum sideways knocking him off his snowmobile. While he quickly recovered, the nose to bumper race that ensued behind him allowed those racers to pass, including his teammate, Kamm. Kody finished fourth while Norum finished fifth.

Hentges Racing team owner, Nate Hentges said, “This weekend was a lot of fun. The track was extremely challenging with its long uphill pulls and huge downhill jumps and off-camber turns. Oskar and Kody put on a great performance on our Polaris snowmobiles. It was a bummer to fall just short of the podium Saturday, but again, both our riders had a strong weekend, they’re healthy and we’re just outside of the top three leaving Geneva. We’ll give it everything we have for the last two rounds of the season.”

The Hentges Racing team wraps up the season at the last two rounds at Cannonsburg in Michigan, March 25-26.
