FINLEY, ND – Rod Kern and Karl Christian are excited to announce the formation of their race team, KC Motorsports.
The team consists of Arctic Cat young guns, Travis Kern and Evan Christian.
Travis Kern is coming off a very successful 2013-14 race season after securing a 2nd place finish overall in the Amsoil Championship Snocross Sport National points chase. Travis is looking forward to his rookie season in Pro Lite. “I’m excited that my dad and Karl talked last spring and have formed this team and I am striving for a successful season.”
Second year Junior Novice rider, Evan Christian, has been training hard this summer to make more podiums this winter and is excited to have Travis as his teammate. “I am hoping to learn a lot, practicing with Travis and observing his riding style. I’ve always looked up to him and feel that he will be a great teammate.”
Team owner, Karl Christian, felt last spring that the Kern-Christian partnership would be an ideal way to continue to represent Arctic Cat and gain other sponsors as well. “Rod Kern and I are excited to bring Travis and Evan together, racing the ISOC Nationals and MN Regionals. These racers have kept Arctic Cat on the podium in the Sport & Jr. Novice classes in past years. Being Travis’ rookie pro-lite year and Evan having more experience in the Junior Novice classes this year, it is our plan to keep that momentum going. We are proud to have Arctic Cat, Finley Motors, Christian Brothers Ford, Kern Excavating, Custom Stripes, Troy Lee Designs, 509, Stud Boy, and Speedwerx helping us out. “
KC Motorsports acquired a 53’race trailer this spring, formerly owned by Judnick Motorsports and are excited to reveal it at Duluth. “Brian, Jeff, and everyone at Custom Stripes have dolled up our trailer and we are excited for our sponsors to have such a great rolling billboard. We are very excited for the winter snocross season!” Be sure to follow KC Motorsports on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter.
