After one weekend off, the Mailloux Racing team was back in action for a doubleheader ISOC / CSRA, February 16-18. The team head first to the State of New York, to Salamanca, for the US Air Force Snocross National, on Friday February 16, fifth round of the ISOC Amsoil Championship Snocross. The team will then drive up to Canada Friday night, for the second round of the CSRA Snowcross Championship which takes place in Lindsay, Ontario, February 17-18.

Despite temperatures very close to 10 degrees Celsius, the promoter was able to built a track with lots of snow in the parking lot of the Seneca Allegany Casino, in Salamanca, NY. Only our Ski-Doo rider #111, Nathan Mailloux, was in action in New York, in the Transition 9-13 and the Junior 10-13 classes. The conditions of the snow with these mild temperatures didn’t help our sleds with junior restrictions, and Nathan has to settle for a 5th and a 4th place in qualifications in the Transition 9-13 class. This push him to the LCQ, that he takes away easily. Starting on the second row for the final, Nathan has a good start and cross the finish line in 8th position. In the Junior 10-13 class, Nathan placed 7th and 5th in his two qualifying heats. Starting on the outside of the front row in the final, Nathan makes his way up through the pack, but fell off his sled, ending his day in New York in 15th place.

Following these disappointing performances, the team now has to hit the road to Lindsay, Ontario, for the CSRA Snowcross races. On Saturday, our Ski-Doo rider #111 placed 3rd and 1st in the Junior 10-13 class in his two heat races, giving him the 1st place overall. In the Junior 1 14-15 class, Nathan placed 1st in the first round, and 3rd in the second round, and he ends up 5th in the final. In the Junior 2 16-17 class, Nathan takes the 4th and 5th place in his qualifying rounds, and he has to settle for the 6th place in the final.

Sunday looks to be a better day as Nathan start off with a 3rd and a 1st in the Junior 10-13 class, winning the overall. In the Junior 1 14-15 class, Nathan continued his great performances with the 2nd place and the 1st place in his qualifying rounds. In the final, Nathan had a great race, and he takes the 2nd place at the checkered flag. In the Junior 2 16-17 class, Nathan ends up his qualifications in 5th and 3rd place. Nathan makes several passes in the final, and he round out his weekend with a great 2nd place.
