Swedish Snocross champion, Petter Narsa will throw his hat in the International Series of Champions ACSS ring, as part of Team Jimmy John’s/BOSS Racing for the first two rounds of the ‘11-’12 snocross season. Team owner, Garry Querel has been in discussions with Narsa for several months, all as part of a collaborative effort with Ski-Doo to place the best talent on the field—and foster up and coming riders in the sport of snocross.
The 19 year old Narsa is currently a top ranked European rider holding two prestigious titles: Swedish champion in “Stadiumcross” and Swedish champion in “Snowcross”. Petter will spend 2 months stateside in an effort to get acquainted with the US national circuit and will train alongside Team Jimmy John’s athletes, Mathieu Morin, Derek Ellis and Corey Watkinson out of the team’s US headquarters in Fargo, North Dakota. With Duluth and Ironwood rounds under his belt, Narsa will return to Sweden to defend his current titles and weigh the possibilities of returning to the States for a full season in 2012-13.
Petter Narsa has the rare distinction of being one of a handful of riders to beat Tucker Hibbert in a Championship main —having secured the silver medal during the FIM World Cup this past March to Tucker’s bronze.
Narsa is a factory rider for LYNX snowmobiles a division of Bombardier Recreational Products which is the parent company of Ski-Doo— the OEM factory and linchpin of industry support for Team Jimmy John’s/ BOSS Racing. Narsa also shares a tie with SCOTT, the helmet and goggle sponsor of the team this season.
